Starting Just a Couple Years Ago, Rapper P David is on a Roll [Eventcombo Interview]

David Bednarz is best known for his rapper name P David. A name that stuck after his friends picked it because of his Polish ethnicity and his first name. David was born in Chicago but later moved to a town called Frankfort by Orland Park, IL.

Beginning his music career in 2014 after buying equipment and releasing a snippet of his song on Soundcloud, David stayed to himself and was very shy. Once he received a lot of positive feedback from his songs, it inspired David to continue his rap career and after getting comfortable with himself and the music he was creating, he found himself becoming more of a social person.

David describes his music as coming from the heart and staying true to life. He likes to talk about experiences he’s actually been through and shies away from being like other rappers who rap about things they don’t have or don’t do. “My music tends to go from emotional, to kind of a “turn up” feeling and I really like to mix it around,” David explained. His inspiration comes from Tory Lanez Kendrick Lamar, ASAP Rocky, and Post Malone. His biggest inspiration comes from Machine Gun Kelly who David discovered after a friend showed him their “Wild Boy” music video. “I really loved it and saw myself being like that,” said David.

If David could collaborate with anyone it would have to be Drake. “…He really is at the top of the game right now and any song that he gets on is a hit,” David said. “I feel he really has unbelievable talent and can do anything with music.”

David’s main focus for the next few months is releasing new music with a goal of releasing a song every week. A mixtape as well as a music video – with videographer Relssig Films – is in the works for the beginning of summer or first few months.
